There are green runes that +5 additional crit damage, what does that mean?
Pigs lose 5 more HP from critical hit?

Generally, are the basic runes pretty useless?

"crit" refers to the double damage done to a pig when they are hit in the back.
There are some birds that can also do "crit" damage from front hitting a pig with their SS shot.

The grey runes are pretty useless but the sale price is ridiculously low so 1 tend to throw them on low level 5*'s that i wont often use...

I understand what critical hits are. I am not sure what additional crit damage is. Would it just add the numerical amount of damage to the critical hit? Say a crtical hit deals 10000 damage, with a +5 additional crit damage, it would be 10000+5?

    That is correct.
